Welcome to SIMLabChicago!

We are a research lab that brings together those who engage in the study of social phenomena at the intersection of society and technology. Officially founded in 2014 in Loyola University Chicago’s School of Communication, we have been going strong for over ten years–hosting international scholars, organizing interactive seminars and events, and conducting research all over the world. Through grant-funded projects and learning opportunities at the graduate and undergraduate levels, our goal is to foster a robust research culture that includes the application of communication, ethics, and technology to today’s most pressing issues.
